The Revd David Gifford, Rector

David originates from Wales and is the Rector of the Renfrewshire Heartland Group. He came to Scotland from the Oxford Diocese, in the Church of England where he was an assistant minister at St Helen's Church, Benson. Before ordination David had followed an international career in education, biosciences and interfaith relations. 


The Revd Heller Gonzalez, Associate Priest

Heller was ordained priest in the Spanish Episcopal Church and was the first minister for the lively Episcopal Church in La Corunna, which he previously established. He hails from Cuba and was a radiographer before he became a priest.


The Revd Robert Chambers, Non Stipendiary Minister

Robert is an active retired priest in the Heartland Group. He is a native of Yorkshire and was a non-stipendiary minister in Huddersfield.  He retired to Scotland to join his family. Before Holy Orders, Robert was in the tailoring trade.

Gerard McKeown, Lay Minister

Gerard hails from Northern Ireland and became a Lay Reader in the Diocese of Southwark in the Church of England where he and Rosalind had lived for 23 years before coming to Scotland in 2013.  Before becoming a Reader he taught English Language in an outer-London 11-18 comprehensive school within HMC.

Maureen Russell, Pastoral Assistant

Maureen was born in the West of Scotland spending some of her childhood in South Africa. Maureen has been a distance –learning course tutor and is a trained facilitator in contextual bible study. She is a Third Order Franciscan and church pastoral assistant.


Mrs Gillian Rodgers, Worship Leader

Gillian is a school secretary with 3 young children. She is an Officer in the Girls Brigade and leads the Port Glasgow St Mary’s After-School Club (L-Club), Junior Church and assists at Family Services in Port Glasgow.
